The Collection
Unsworth and Avers is pleased to introduce a new line of Bamboo drapery hardware.
The line was inspired by English bamboo furniture, popularized in the Victorian
era. Bamboo was first introduced by the Japanese to the European market, where
it made quite a sensation. It was known for its affordability and sturdiness.
The bamboo craze also hit the United States by the late 1800's, where it was
equally well received.

The Characteristics
The jointed wood of the bamboo stalk is inherently strong and
resilient. The stalks may taper slightly from end to end, and like anything
natural, may vary in sizes and diameters. We hand select our bamboo poles,
in order to keep tapering down to a minimum. Any slight imperfections should
not be considered abnormal.
